Heart of the Innocent Walkthrough

Postby Ziv » 01 Jul 2003 11:23

First off, you MUST have completed Oswald’s Dirk Quest to go into this portal.

The portal is at 34.0N, 39E. The closest, it seems, is holtburg, which is a bit of a jog.

The dungeon is full of Bandit Mages, Mercenaries, Rogues, Bandit Lords, Rogue Mages, and Thieves. They range from levels 95-115. I noticed many of them ran very slow and had LOW coord/quickness base stats.

The drop is SAFE, and you need LP to finish this, because there’s three 402 Diff doors.

Buff up and bane for all elements, pick the door in front of you, and pick up Jaleh’s Key.

Continue down the hall. I’m fuzz on directions, because I was sprinting for my life, but there’s LOTS of level 6 vulns and level 7 wars to contend with. The dungeon is straightforward, and all the forks end up at the same spot. The only spot you may get lost is a tri-fork with a locked door straight ahead, take the door, and go into the big room. There’s a ramp down on the other side of the middle section.

After a little bit, you’ll come to a room with 5 uniquely named people. They hit HARD! With 270 health I lasted probably 5 seconds with 2 other people.

Apparantly one of them drops a +25 health necklace, but I didn’t see it, so I can’t confirm. But, if you wish, sprint past them through a winding hall and you’ll emerge in a big open room. There should be a ramp with a corpse infront of it, use the corpse and receive you reward: Heart of the Innocent.

When put into a Perfect Isparian weapon, it will give it some insane spells, AND the Human Slayer property… LP Pkers just got some major love… If you want to look around a bit more, you can pick up some miscellaneous items, and on one side of the upper level is Jaleh’s Chest, which drops his armor….

There’s also a “Note Scrawled In Blood” atop the ramp…

Sorry if this writeup is a bit sketchy, but it’s 3:30AM and I didn’t have much time to take notes amongst 10 humans =P

Here’s the note’s text by the way: “I had never expected there to be so much blood. It seeps everywhere now that I have finally killed the man. It stains everything that I touch and has even begun to seep into my armor. Everything is washed red. There is no escape from the screams and the look on his face. I feared, very briefly, that I would lose my mind.
Thankfully my greater sense prevailed and I was able to gain control before I slipped into a catatonic madness. Read well my words you who have trespassed here: This blood will seek all who steal from it, though I am protected.
Think before you take what is in this place it will mark you and curse you.”

I hope this helps at least a little =)

Never been on the forefront of a quest, this was fun, but alas it is bed time. The items you find in the dungeon are as follows:

+25 hp necklace, level 50+, diff 175
Heart of the Innocent
a ring
gloves (think it was, could be hat)
a note
a book
Jaleh's chain shirt, al210, minor flame ward, minor frost ward
Jaleh's Leggings, ws8, al200 (mean you can tinker with ws? prolly not), leadership vi, sprint vi, imp v
shoes
Blood Stained Book (written by Oswald)

You can turn in the ring, gloves, and shoes for xp (500k, 300k, 500k) at the weeping lady in ayan. She gives you another note, you take it to Sawato tailor for more xp (500k).

Seems like blood book is lore to me and the armor is just trophy item. Quest appears complete to me, then again, you never know.

Wie wäre es damit:

GSA an, Banen, irgendwelche Unterwäsche für 100Pyreals oder so beim City Dealer ihres Vertrauens besorgen

No Drop Weapons ( Isparian Bandit usw)

CHar komplett leeräumen Buffen und rein. Ausser die Todesrate erhöhen wir nichts. Mages kommen hierbei noch am besten weg... (Focussing stone+GSA oder is Focus drop by dead?
